Employment Contracts

New Employees

All new employees will begin to complete their personnel file by meeting with Human Resources. Information as related to your assignment within District 36 will be maintained on FileMaker, the district employee database system. Access will be provided to employees to review individual records electronically. Employees also may make arrangements to view the paperwork maintained in their personnel files on an appointment basis.

Status Change

Throughout your tenure in the district, any employment changes will be processed through Human Resources. We are here to assist you with any questions or clarification as needed. Examples of these types of changes include retirement, leaves of absence, and job changes.

Criminal Background Checks

The State of Illinois requires criminal background checks (completed through fingerprint analysis) to be on file for all school employees hired after 2004.

Service Credit

Human Resources maintains seniority lists, tenure and tenure eligibility lists, and years of service data for all employees.

Contractual Matters

Individual employment contracts are generated by Human Resources. We are available to answer any questions with regards to individual contracts. Board of Education Personnel Policies can be viewed through the following link.
