Winnetka Public Schools Kindergarten registration for the 2012-2013 school year will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011, from 9:00-11:00 A.M. at Crow Island, Greeley and Hubbard Woods Schools. Children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2012 (born before September 2, 2007) are eligible for Kindergarten.

Parents should register at their neighborhood school. An official birth certificate and proof of residency are required for all students, including those with older siblings enrolled in the Winnetka Public Schools. All documents will be photocopied and returned at the time of registration.

Proof of Winnetka residency includes one of the following in this category:
Category I:

• Most recent real estate tax bill
• Signed and dated lease/rental agreement and proof of last month’s payment
• Mortgage documents
• Agreement of sale

In addition, three of the following items in this category are required and must be presented with a current Winnetka address:*
Category II:

• Driver’s License
• Voter Registration
• Auto Registration
• Home/Auto Insurance and proof of payment
• Gas, Water/Electric bill (current and previous month; telephone bills are not acceptable)

The Winnetka Public Schools plans to offer Junior Kindergarten for children who will be four years old years old by August 31, 2012 (born before September 1, 2008). Enrollment in this tuition-based program will be determined on a first come, first served basis.

*If you are in the process of moving to Winnetka and cannot provide three of the items listed in Category II at the time of registration, you must provide them within 30 days of your move-in date.
