Pride of Lions

In the Pride of Lions program, Washburne students vote on their favorite book of the year from a list determined by the librarian, reading specialist, and student recommendations. All Washburne students receive booktalks of the books, and students must read four or more of these books by the end of spring break to participate in voting. The purpose of Pride of Lions is to introduce students to a variety of young adult titles and encourage them to read for their own enjoyment.
