Program Specifics
Suzuki students in grades K-4 have the opportunity to study the violin, viola or cello.
- Classes meet once a week. They are 15 minutes in length for one child or 30 minutes long for two to three children
- This is a pull-out program - students in grades 1-4 will miss 15 to 30 minutes of a school subject or recess once a week. Kindergarten lessons are scheduled outside of school hours.
- A parent is required to attend lessons for students in grades K-2.
- Parental attendance is STRONGLY encouraged in 3rd and 4th grade.
- Students also attend group lessons, referred to as Lunch Bunch, about twice a month. Half of this time is spent practicing and half is spent eating lunch.
